I LOVED how it took the two a little while to get there because there is nothing I love more than intense sexual tension with a slow-burn buildup! Zach was so innocent and sooooo corruptible that it was sweet, sweet ecstasy when he finally got it on with Pike. Speaking of kinks, I mean one of my top favorite kinks is virgins/first timers. This book is a contemporary romance that happens to feature a military man, and something about the SEAL aspect of the story was just. It has taken me a long time to realize that I'm a fan of military men in romance, mostly because I really hate romantic suspense. ![]() I think it is best if you read the #gamers series first, though it isn't a "must." I'm a HUGE fan of the #gamers series, so this one was a no-brainer. Though it isn't mentioned in the blurb, this book is definitely part of the #gamers series and that world. Off Base was no exception, pairing a virgin (a favorite of mine) with a geek, leaving me in total bliss!
